By working closely with clients over time through an ongoing retainer, consultants can better understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that lead to better outcomes.

Second, consistent revenue is essential for planning and scaling a business. Relying on one-time sessions can result in inconsistent cash flow. In my own experience, I’ve noticed some clients may object to the idea of working with a consultant who may not be around to offer the longer term support.
